Company History

Mayflower Fabrications, formed in 1994
from a three man team and has been steadily building
around the partnership of knowledgeable staff and clients in the construction industry.
Working from our fully equipped factory in Plymouth we offer a full in house package for the design, fabrication, and erection of structural steel, which allows for flexibility to suit clients site programs.
Having worked on numerous projects involving extensions to retail stores, which remained trading during construction, we are fully conversant with Health and Safety issues and the issuing of documentation to comply with the current CDM regulations.
All our fabricators are coded to B54872 part 1 and are trained for the specific tasks required of them whilst on site, Wherever possible a full working relationship is built up between our Management team and the Client which allows for any unforeseen problems to be dealt with in a fast mutually acceptable and cost effective manner.
In 1999 after identifying a need for various pressed steel items used in the construction industry we purchased a range of sheet metal working machines. In doing so we have extended our fabrication facilities to include a 3000mm x 6mm Guillotine and a 3000mm x 150 tonne Breakpress.
Thus a new division specializing in the cutting and folding of plastic coated or zinc plated mild steel sheets,
aluminium and stainless steel was created.
To incorporate these changes within the new structure we renamed the Company MPL Engineering Ltd.
